The School Council

At St.Paul's we have a School Council made up of children from each class with a teacher to mediate. In September all of the children are asked who they would like to be their representative. Each class then "votes" to decide which child they would like to act as their voice at School Council meetings.

The School Council for 2007/2008 are: (....... being updated)

Meetings are held twice a month with a member staff. Just before the meeting, classes are asked if they have anything that they would like their representative to bring up at the meeting. The School Councilor makes notes to take to the meeting. At the meeting the feedback from all of the classes is discussed. Some of the ideas are then put forward to the Staff and Headteacher.

Some of the issues discussed this year have been:

                       Safety

                       Playtime "ball" rota
                       Dinner menus
                       Toilets - locks, taps stuck
                       Quiet Area monitors
                       Footballs, goals etc need replacing

                  School Cardigan
                       Feedback on tuck shop
New ways of coming to school
